Topless women legal?

Woman Goes TOPLESS In NYC

As much as I love the idea of seeing women topless, I don't really like the consequences that might come of it. Sure, at first it would be great, but as time goes on and if somehow this thing becomes part of our culture, there won't be that "excitement" anymore. It will be natural to see a woman's breasts and that sensation of first experiencing them won't have it's full affect.

Yes. Also, a woman going topless would be like a man going pantless and undergarmentless. I wouldn't want to see penis' everywhere.

I don't think so. A penis is a sex organ. Breasts aren't.

What if though - what if this becomes a natural thing for women to walk around topless?

I think it's just okay. It's just a gender role, which I highly despise. I don't see any other reason as to why women can't show their tits.

It's really okay for men to go topless in beaches, but if it's a woman, it's like "zomggg!!111 public indecency!!11!!1".

1. Just because going topless for women is legal doesn't mean the law still isn't there
2. It goes back to it eventually becoming a natural thing (if it ever does). For example, in some cultures, showing your breasts is like showing your mouth. It feeds children. Nothing special about that. However, with that same culture, legs are considered very erotic, and must be covered at all times.

It's not impossible for women to become topless without it being considered taboo in our culture.

It's a matter of "Where do we go next" it opens doors to more drastic possibilities it's the next step towards being completely naked and thus essentially going backwards in time socially speaking ._.

what consequences? that your kids might not be as happy to see a tit as you are?

The only thing that comes of this is a change in how we see breasts.
That, and awesome. Just saying.

Well there is a point you can't exceed. The reason I think we might go as far as women going topless is because breasts aren't a sex organ. If you go further than that to the point where both the male and female genitalia are showing, I don't see how adolescents will keep away from sex. But who knows, anything is possible

Basically. Personally, if I had the choice to see breasts everyday or to keep things as is, I would choose the latter because in the end, it would still be new for me to explore as well as experience. But of course, I'm just a 16 year old who has never experienced a first kiss, so what the hell do I know

You make a good point, I just think in general when any major decision is made it always leads to the next step becoming more socially acceptable, whether it will get to the point of full nudity legalization or not I doubt but there will no doubt be a larger number of supporters inspired by their new found and eventually long standing freedom.

It's all good dude, I'm 20 and have never been to 2nd, so no worries.

Anyway, it's like all the other social norms we've beaten.
Think about women voting.

The world IS different.

Exactly. This might go along with women's equality with men. "If he can go shirtless, then so can I!" and etc etc

That's why I brought this up. It's not a matter of whether or not this will happen. It's more of a matter of what you think of this possible situation.
