Breaking bad habits and starting better ones

I really need to start breaking my bad habits right now, like most people, and start off on new, better habits. For example, I need to quit being lazy and instead start going to the gym after school. I also need to quit cracking my knuckles, but that has been a little difficult over the past few years.

What are your bad/good habits and how do you break bad ones and start new ones?

I've been cracking my knuckles for YEARS now. I even did it now, while I type. Still haven't found a solution for that. As for going to the gym and getting big (as we say here), maybe find someone else you can go to the gym with, arranging times together. That way, you will be more obliged to get off your ass and go outside.

I skip school often, Like once every week or 2.
I bite my nails all the time, my fingers still look normal though.
I pick my nose, but come on. Who doesn't fucking pick their nose?

I usually take a glass into my room and always forget to bring it back to the kitchen so I end up having like ten glasses in my room.
Yeah, I crack my knuckles too, but less, I'm trying really hard to stop.
I have million toothpicks around my room.
and there are more and more.

I just procrastinated on three weeks of work, I've accomplished one weeks worth and I'm meeting with my teacher in 20 minutes aka I'm fucked. I'd really really like to break my habit of procrastinating til the last minute but no matter how hard I push myself I always end up slacking on something, in short my work ethic is shit.

This is weird but at school or anytime I wear a collared shirt I constantly mess with it to make it straight for some reason... ::)

I have a really bad habit of when I go to bed, I basically stay awake for the next hour or so, just thinking to myself about random or relevant crap.

but after alot of times waking up all sweaty and uncomfortable i forced my lazy ass to take off my clothes before bed.

I HAVE SO MANY BAD HABITS.

I really want to work on three specific bad habits that I've had for all very long times. One of just over reacting to shit that isn't even that bad, I think I'm doing really better on that one

the second one is just talking to people in general, I think of things to talk about while i'm talking, so most conversations I have get really awkward when I run out of things to talk about, also this habit is I think because I'm super duper self conscious about myself which is also another problem about me.

and the last thing is probably one of my worst, I have a habit of when I walk or run I put my hands up kind of like a dinosaur and some people called me out on it and named me creeper hands ._. ..

I have this bad habit of chewing on the strings of my jacket that tighten the hood on it, people tell me just tucking the string in the jacket can help but it doesn't for me, I always just end up finding myself chewing on it.
Thanks Marie
