Does anyone know how to soft mod an original xbox?

Title. I know I need a modded dashboard and I'm thinking to get some games. I will not use Action Replay or USB methods since I can't do them. Or should I just get an emulator to save my troubles?

Oooooooooooooh ok lol, I should buy a Xbox they always have one at Goodwill when I go searching for games..... But no I know nothing :P
