Yeah, I heard that too and valve they showed some hints of portal and half life 2 in both games with the Borealis Aperture Science ship and I heard that there would be Borealis appearing in hl3

In Half Life 3, Aperture robots will take over part of Earth and everyone starts fighting again and the Combines are like "LOLNOPEWEGONE" and so we're screwed.

The TF2 team is working on something brand new for 2012. We can't tell you what it is, because they won't tell us, but what they WILL say is that it isn't a hat, it isn't a map, and go away. I remember reading from somewhere that they will make Episode Three as next 'Half-Life game'. Oh well - Half-Life is still Half-Life, lol.

There was a forum post on steam's forums about it. A guy said that he read a valve worker's memoir and in it was that they are making half life 3.

This forum post got deleted in a few minutes and the guy was banned.

I'd agree with this also and even if valve finished/released HL3 most of the valve/steam fans would say shit ignorant comments and throw out garbage replies like "This should be made with more effort", "I can do better than this", or "valve lost my respect" and etc. So it is better to have Half Life 3 delayed than being released because of people's shitstorm comments

Are you aware how long Half-Life and Half-Life 2 took to develop? Since HL2ep2 Valve has moved on to other things aswell, you can't expect them to stagnate can you? In the meantime Valve has made the Portal series, DoTA2, Alien Swarm, and (I think) made Left 4 Dead 2.

I also don't understand why so many people do not know that Valve stopped working on episodic content and that they will be making full fledged games.

Here's my guess. Half Life 3 takes on from Episode 2. So apprently we can get to the arctics by 5 hours and the other 2 hours will be us fighting evil robots everyone in the Borealis.
