Remember that the people keep the politicians in office, and the only way a politician can go totally against the people's view is to take control and totally oppress them or inevitably lose their position of power (and money) when the expiration date comes close.

A petty DDoS attack wouldn't mean shit lol.
I'm pretty damn sure the whole Wikipedia and other sites shutting down in protest makes an impact. Not a DDoS that more than likely did absolutely nothing.

I agree with some of this, if they want to make a DDOS attack then have it prolonged and have it attack a government website (like they did to jov.gov, or whatever it's name was)

Also I'm surprised that the imperial US eagle wasn't put up, like they did to http://tvshack.net and that was the MPAA as well.

I'm pretty sure a few government and bureaucratic websites having become maliciously taken down by protesters online isn't exactly "petty" or "did absolutely nothing".

The reason I say that is because I'm pretty sure that really hardly did anything... and as far as I know, it didn't even happen. If anonymous was so damn bad that they take down government websites and cause actual trouble, that they would have been quite easily jailed by now. Believe it or not, your country isn't that stupid to let a bunch of idiots on the internet really cause trouble to the government. But even say I'm wrong, and anonymous is a huge pain to them. You really think that stuff doesn't happen to them all the time then? In other words, it still would have done absolutely nothing.
