While it is certainly illegal, I can't say I feel bad for the hacked groups. Especially not the RIAA and MPAA. From what I've seen, those two have a tendency to file lawsuits on the insane side.

They're getting what they deserve with this SOPA and Mediafire shit. Mediafire was a warning, more will come.

Beeeeeesh we were talking about this on the other thread (sort of) but I don't think it was such a good idea to do that because that would give the government one other reason to do SOPA and the ip act

I can't say I like Anonymous. I mean I do because even if theyre "immature", "scared" "hiding behind a mask" and whatever the fuck other people call them. They pretty much got the attention of these people. with a big sign that says "THIS IS SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS AND WE'RE LETTING YOU KNOW ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. IGNORE EVERYTHING ELSE BUT LETS SEE IF YOU CAN IGNORE THIS"

I'm sorry to ruin everyone's fun, but am I the only one who realizes how stupid, juvenile, and petty anonymous is?

Well, do you want to just sit there with your thumbs up your ass and not do a thing about this?

I didn't partake in this myself and didn't even know about it until minutes ago, but I believe this is a necessary evil to repel a greater evil.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

You can protest without breaking the law. Wiki + other sites did it yesterday.

well, #1 this actually got their attention instead of just responding with "wiki and stuff just failed to provide service to people when its their responsibilitiez" when wiki went down yesterday
and #2 as "stupid" as anonymous can be, I still support them because they mean serious business.

Just imagine a kid and a parent at a store and the kid is making a scene and crying. With the kid being the government and SOPA and whatever the fuck else. The parent shushes them, tells them "you cant do that etc I'll take your xbox away, etc etc" thats how wiki and other websites did yesterday. They responded in a mature legal way.

Now imagine the same situation, but the parent instead of shushing and grounding the kid, slaps the fuck out of the kid and spanks his ass.
The kid will now be surprised mom did this and stop because he'll most likely be scared shes gonna hit again.

Pretty much this, not that I approve slapping your kid's shit in the middle of a Winn-Dixie.

Anonymous are only activists, and while what they do is illegal, they do it for a cause.

exactly. It's not necessarily legal and you don't necessarily approve of it, but if it gets that little shit to shut the fuck up, then YES DO IT.

I'm mostly just saying that they're the ones with the thumbs up there ass if any, with the politicians. It's like how you probably thought you'd be some bad ass vigilante when you were a kid or something. It's stupid, they are really not significant... but for some reason they're every internet kiddie's hero. They mean nothing. They change nothing. They are nothing. Nothing but a bunch of idiots on the internet with masks and attention from the people gullable enough to listen to their shit, and how they're changing America by scaring the politicians.
