Montezuma's Return

Before anything, Montezuma's return was a game from the 20 century, i remember playing it while being a little child and i want to make a map just like the one of the game.

Yes, i know it isn't beautiful, and that's the exactly same reason why i want to give this a shot. I will need a experimented mapper to help me with this(telling me how to do it or giving me information), since there are a couple of things i have no idea how to do.


If anyone is willing to give me a hand while making this map, i will start with this project the 5 of January.

forgot to mention, i want to do this to get experience with hammer and also take it like a personal challenge.

You should create this as a small mod. This doesn't mean you need to touch any code but you could edit small things like the player HUD and movement. Even if the mod is somewhat short, I think it would be a great way to learn mapping and modding in general and developing an end product that others can rate. (and would look very good on a portfolio if you were seeking a job in video games).

I pretty much need help with everything that moves on the map, apart from that, as you can see, in the game if you fall on sand you take no damage, and i was wondering if there is a way to do this in source... and yes the last thing i would need help with are the textures.


Also, if i make this a little mod, i would need someone telling me step by step what i have to do.
