We have had a DarkRP server probably around half a dozen times over the years. They start out strong for about a month or so then they slowly waste away until they are perennially empty.

We don't really have the type of player base to support a RP server, someday we might have enough interest in it but we would practically have to open up a sub-branch of RND to support it. As a good RP server requires a serious amount of time investment and maintenance on the part of the administrators, in order to keep things running smoothly and differentiate it enough from the other servers.


I would personally rather have a space-build if a version ever comes out that doesn't crash every 15 min.

Agree.. Never saw any server lasting more than a week/two. I've been playing RP for Years (not GMod, but it's basically same shi' all around everywhere)
PS: Yeah, SB - Best  gamemode! :D Been playing it time ago, but then I took an arrow to the knee left GMod.

Every spacebuild server ive ever been on could be up for 12 hours at a time minimum, provided some minge doesnt fuck with stuff (in which case, ban). A few servers also use "caches", which produce resources based on the cache type and ship size, which reduces generators and such, reducing lag a lot. Not though Im quite sure where that comes from unfortunately.

I don't want to create a new thread, so... Did you ever had a SB server? I can't ever remember crashing at any time while playing it >_> At least when I wasn't fkin' around (As other mentioned). About DarkRP - Yeah, I got it. It kinda sucks anyway : D I was just being curious.
