Deacon didn't install a password plugin, so anyone can login to his account.
Gamefreak decided to hop in real fast to give himself /item commands (he did this when me and bipolar had our server, but I was okay with it. Gamefreak wasn't the type to run around spamming TNT, and infact, with the /item, he helped build our entire starter town).
Deacon found out, and thought he hacked the server, and banned him.
Gamefreak hopped back into deacons account and unbanned himself (I think).
Den yeah. Dis happened.
In Gamefreaks defense, giving himself /item wasn't supposed to be a malicious thing, although unbanning himself was kind of stupid ._.
Still kind of a dumb reason to shut down the server completely, just keep Gamefreak banned.^This.

I kind of let Gamefreak do whatever he wanted on my server, he actually did the exact same thing he did with Deacon.

Couple days later, he built and entire spawn town with places for new players to go and heal, and get low-tier equipment.
I can vouch Gamefreak would have never used the powers to harm the server, and he only did it "without your permission" becuase you were offline (according to him, that is).

I tried running my own server this afternoon, and I couldn't even get any plugins at all to work. I joined it, and /help didn't work, even with 3 video tutorials.

I wouldn't like the lantern update because it'd make torches have a finite length of light before you have to flint-steel it.
But then you would get the amnesia-y effect of walking through an old, abandoned house or cave, and re-lighting torches to illuminate the way.
Also, Notch said that all existing torches before the update would be converted to lanterns. Oldfags get +9001 lanterns.

When you IP spoof, you're modifying the packets actively so that when the other person receives them, it looks like it came from a different IP. Or something like that.
It's basically like putting an incorrect return address on an envelope, then sending it.

Because I don't deserve to. I've played on a lot of servers before, and I'm not sure why, but your's has been one of the best. I think it's because it's not built on a thousnads addons and such, but enough for people to have fun and not feel restricted to the rules. You just need to have common sense.
Honestly, I believe the only real reason I stole was because I was just so excited that I had found an exploit to something. So for whatever reason I did it. I was alone, so I warped to a few places, maybe like 3? and just took what I thought looked nice. Really the only major place I hit was Dill's place.
(The exploit: If you break the block that the sign is on, it deletes the sign as well as the protection with it.)
