Ok so as I have been listening to deadmau5 recently he has got me into making music and I wanted to share with you my first attempt at making music lol. I think it turned out decent, I know it could use a lot more but it's good for the first song I have ever made. Please give feedbax!
BTW this is the same program deadmau5 uses, and its supposed to be electro house/techno. But i think it turned out more to be trance.

Very staticy, the music, not my headset im sure. Maybe more of a clean tune would work better?

edit: actually i kinda see what you are saying, it might be that i overlapped 2 synthesizers to bring out the sound a bit. I thought it sounded pretty cool, but meh, pickers can't be choosers.

thanks for telling me this, of course this isn't my final version. But i put a few effects on the track that you are talking about and that may be the static that you are talking about. Or it might be just the synthesizer.

Electro house is very repetetive i noticed, and as i said this isn't the final version its just a skeletal frame for what i'm going to be doing with it later on. This is an example of a good electro house song.

lol deadmau5 has songs that are slow and relaxing. Then theres songs that are fast and in ur face.
Anyways, most of his songs are cool. I got into liking him because one of his songs were used on a lockerz redemption alerter lolol.

I like the synth though. Mind sending me a sample of it? I have yet to find a decent sounding synth.
Also, the final version is a lot better.

Out of curiosity, what sound program do you use?
My process is to usually set up the patterns and sequences in modplug, and then use audacity to add effects and mix.

I use Ableton Live, its like an extremely expensive program. (pingazd) Which you make the beats, the melody, the bass, basically everything in the track is original material. Ableton Live has effects and shiz as well it's a really good program lol.
I have also tried other programs like reason 4.0 only to use the vocoder and stuff but i know that Ableton has a vocoder built in so I no longer need that program.

How is it in terms of features/accessibility?
I constantly find myself using different programs, and always having to google the different commands to raise pitches, fade off, loop, hop to another track, ect.
I also need to find a better library of samples. All the ones I have are absolute shit ;-;

Well like any other program it takes some getting used to. I dl'd some extra drum samples that worked for me, it also comes with some instruments that i really haven't used yet that will probably come in handy.

Lul. I actually started playing around and adding a 8-bit layer on top.
Unfortunately, the famicon/NES sounds like shit with it. It'd be more interesting using a C64 tracker.
Unfortunately (again), I don't know how to use any of them, since they're so goddamn complicated. Ima just end up using samples for em, even though it won't be "True" 8-bit.

Personally I'm not really into that kind of music, i'm more of a punk rocker, but for what it is I'd reckon its pretty good. Keep it up dude :D
