edit: Never mind. Coolz removed it. If you were all wondering the reason why, it's because I had too many bugs to work out and pakrat glitched the hell out on me, thus giving all the custom textures/sounds errors.

I think every map got his good & bad part... if the map doesn't have a good place to cade...  you can fight outside!!! it isn't hard to get 20 keels and make a tree house...

The only maps that are bad are the maps unfair for the zombies... The maps unfair for the humans are normally funny...

zm_factory is shitmap because:
1. Conveyor leads to deadly bottomless hole and it's hard to jump out from it(as if you stick to it).
2. Floors are too low, apparently the author maps is dwarf.
3. And the main reason is secret room with vent and unlimited pistol\smg ammo, and health. It's too cheap.
4. Also this map not too detailed
P.S Rape author he made us vote for factory.

But Citadel should be updated then because all other servers got the new version and astraction isnt bad but it can be removed (when space on hdd needed)

I do belive the underground is glitched for a reason... when you get to the last part and open the cargo door half of the server crash...

I think that whit a little of team work you could win as a human there.

And on a side note: I will not be taking out the smgs or shottguns unless anyone shows me that they are not needed to survive for at least a fair amount of time. fair enough to actually make it to the end.
From what I've seen when I played the map on the server Both sides were equally balanced.
If there was any reason the zombies failed it was probably because they weren't trying at all.
please contact me first if you have a problem with any of my maps. Feedback is something I always look for whether its criticism or perks.

The thing that really bothered me was how you just added it to the list without any approval from other members. Nor was I notified.

And on a side note: I will not be taking out the smgs or shottguns unless anyone shows me that they are not needed to survive for at least a fair amount of time. fair enough to actually make it to the end.
From what I've seen when I played the map on the server Both sides were equally balanced.
If there was any reason the zombies failed it was probably because they weren't trying at all.
please contact me first if you have a problem with any of my maps. Feedback is something I always look for whether its criticism or perks.

The thing that really bothered me was how you just added it to the list without any approval from other members. Nor was I notified.
I'm sorry, I did not know you would react the way you did. If you honestly think that its a decent, well balanced map, Go ahead an add it again.

That irritates me how chambers was removed. I liked the current version, both times when I played the map zombies won. The first time the zombies won on the fifth wave, and the second time the zombies won on the third wave. v4 was fairly balanced and was disappointed to hear that it was removed.

As for bunker_v3, I don't think it should be removed. I have been hearing a lot of bad things about it from people but I think it's mostly because its overplayed. I think I will be making one more version of the map to make it a bit more fair for the zombies.

Map is way to over powered just played it and the only way people got killed was because of luck as in they fell, too many health machine and to much ammo

Map in general is a good idea (Besides the gravity well it takes zombies 20 seconds to get down it, each round is 2:30 mins so we spend like a good part of the round just to get down the well) just needs less health and for the love of god! never have a full human team be able to get smgs and shotguns on round one! maybe have one smg not like 5 Lol

Like i like the concept of it but it needs to be redone list of things in the map that makes it over powered

- Gravity well
- The room zombies can't get in but humans can shoot out
- wave 6?? the place you have to jump down only fast zombies can survive the jump without getting killed by gravity (if theres water then i couldn't see it everything is orange! can't even see the humans health status Lol)

it just feels like the whole map is made for the humans to have every advantage over the zombies

When you have 7 zombies and they can't take down a 3 man team somethings wrong...

I agree wholly with Shawn. I played as a zombie on Chambers, and it was almost impossible to win. Whenever we got less than 20 feet away from the humans, they would tear us to pieces with their SMG's. Not just that, but for some reason they had nearly infinite ammo that lasted the entire game. Overpowered much?

For some reason, bunker gets on the map list multiple times despite being played. I've played bunker 3 times in a row because of it.

+1'd for that, as annoying as it is, it is still pretty funny when you look at it from another angle.

I think the issue is that in the times where everybody is there, it enables hand-fed spawn camping kills, and *can be or seem* more annoying than run of the mill camping since you don't just kill them as they come out of spawning, but trap them so if they could move a few pixels before being killed before, they can't with this.  That, and as I experienced sometimes you go into that room hoping to hit one of the OTHER teleporters and end up getting stuck again.   Good thing I now bind "]" to "kill"  :))

yes. I believe, after collaborating with several people, that the bowling alley at the bottom of the map is the problem. Last crash, right when someone knocked the pins down, the server ceased up. So, with collaboration with infamousfelix, we think it is something to do with either the bowling alley or the system used to reset the pins.
He saw it, so he knows more about it. I was on the map 2 times, but never saw the bowling alley incident.

After the crash, the server is reloaded almost instantly, although on a new map.

Besides the lameness of being stuck in a pit since the beginning layout is a tad confusing, besides frm the blandness of it [percieved, at least]....

I was pushed OUT of the fucking map somewhere during wave 2.  No kidding, while in that giant pit with the health station, I was pushed OUT of the map - luckily enough while recording a demo.  If I can get Source Recorder to record properly [on OS X version of Stem/GMod/HL2] I'll post a video.

but anyways, i'm not sure if i played v6 or v5... but i have to say that the biggest deal with that map is the weapons.

I belive that map without weapons would be more fair for everyone.

No reason for a smaller version of a good map.
The only thing it has going for it is its name, which people jump to after playing this map on zs.
It isn't very good for ttt.

Chambers is an awesome looking map, but all the HL2 weapons that are given are just too OP :V

Theres also zs_combine_base (I can't quite remember the name, only that it was made by "The Punisher"), where he mapped a "secret" room that only he knows about. It has a shotgun that has unlimited ammo, doesn't need to reload, and is usually a 1-hit kill.

Fine, i'll tell you guys the secret, first off, for v4 i added a code that (9274) that opens all the secrets, to the right corner from the ladder is an invisible wall breakable thing. Find a button somewhere and you can go inside the secret. I got pissed when people said they were going to just decompile my map because i've seen a bunch of maps that were alright, but they were ruined due to everyone leaking info to trolls and minges and it became common knowledge of all the secrets. Oh well, i guess the secret isnt very overpowered since you cant add aegis kits to block the teleporter anymore :D. I also changed the weight for props, added a security grate to the shelves area. Added a bunch of pointless shit that you can only see in the map. anyways. Lets see if this version is okay, if it isn't i'll just say forget it and just never look back at the map again.

Look, if the no-draw is the only problem now, then i can easily fix that.
I think the weighted props were the reason people got out of my map.
If i every make another map other than editing the death maps, then  i'll make sure everyone's happy, including area portal, overlays,light spot, and a good sky-box, i'll try to balance the amount of props in the game, make new levels and crap that actually have a fair advantage for zombies (2 ways for zombies to get in, small props, shitty barricading props in a great barricading area ect.)

Maybe a little modification, NO SUPER, make it a secret that is hard to get (I.E. lotsa traps and jumping areas) and just make it like 1 armor machine and a pistol box.

- overplayed: A map being overplayed doesn't mean it isn't good.

- complains about weapons: tell them that they should get their weapons by their own, and if they think they need the weapons in there, they are just noobs (sad but true)

- 2.  Somebody takes ALL the weapons in the armory, NOBODY gets one
- 3.  Somebody nails the fucking key to the floor


I like this map, though it is overplayed, and think it should be revised, or made a new from scratch to at least alleviate some of the problems present wih the armory room, the unbreakable cading, etc.

I usually like this map, but there is one spot for the humans that is ridiculously overpowered and makes this map incredibly boring to play.

No, it's not a secret, everyone knows how to get up there and the only zombies that can get to humans are fast zombies, and even that only through one small entrance where they have to walk through a small "hallway", making it stupidly easy for humans to shoot them.

Spot in question is this roof, although it isn't too bad until humans go behind the fence.

Yes I agree, but that spot is seriously annoying, especially since people go there every single round.

Hmm, I noticed that before, but now, we have goomba stomping which can pretty much kill us pretty easy since we are usually crowded in one area.

It's actually fairly easy to win if you use the "HEY GAIZ, LET'S NOT PLAY SRSLY" thing to your advantage, they usually just don't pay attention unless you start shooting everyone.....

If you need to change any entity, use EntSpy so you don't need to recompile the map, since VMEX still has a chance that it will just make everything more worse.

Suggestion:  Not remove, but edit maps for TTT with "traitor testers" chambers - these things are humorous, but have really killed, in my opinion, the playability of TTT at least when a map with one is picked.  Start of game, everybody goes "lol, everybody get tested" - and the Ts get killed quickly, people who don't get tested are either effortlessly deduced or presumed to be traitor / killed, and it just feels like one hell of a copout.

Usually, I somehow don't get picked as T, or as T accidentally kill myself before in one way or another when on one of these maps :P

Though that doesn't, IMO, address the perception of these things can take away from the gameplay - I mean, it's a game that requires some sort of detective work, right?  What's the point when you have something that does the work for you?

[Though I'm now tempted to see if I can pull off being T, going into one, and before the door gets closed throwing an incendiary grenade killing those outside... since people love crowding around them so much.  XD]

I just don't go in.
Most of the time they won't do anything because they might think you're trying to make them kill you, but then there are those few who dare (or have the karma bug) and shoot you without hesitating.

Anyways, we should keep T testers on. It's not ruining game play imo, but instead making it a little more fun.

Suggestion: Whenever the bridge falls, have it either break, or just not controllable by the dead.
It's not really a bother most of the times, but there have been incidents where it's killed a T.

I mean, I like the ***IDEA*** behind the map, but as it is can make playing T efficiently absurdly difficult my removing most of the covert-ness needed to play well - and games degrade quickly into dicking around with props.  Still not tired of the Tiny Tim music though.   :D

I agree, it needs to be removed until someone fixes it. Considering the houses are the best places for C4, there's a very high chance the server will crash on richland.

I heard Yellow Killer is fixing and optimizing it so it would be less laggy.

I personally think terroroffice is a good map, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad map.

TIPS: Shoot radio before anyone uses it, never go into sauna, stay around basement area. Win game.

for everyone like every 20-30 seconds, also humans spawn in a house where all 1st floor entrances for zombies are covered with like 5 planks which are ridiculously hard to break, the 2nd floor entrances are even worse, looking from far away it seems that they're uncovered but when you get close to them, they have a fence which covers them completely and cannot be broken but you can shoot or hit with melee attacks through it.

Leave the weapon box, it's a gimmick of the map, plus it only gives you tier 2 pistols (Glock, Deagle, Revolver). People spam the box so much though, 90% of the time, it's just a baby which doesn't drop anything.

BUT

The wooden planks should be easier to break.

Pretty pointless map. Nothing really special and pretty straight forward. Zombies are gonna win most or all the time unless you have a really pro team...  :thumbsup:

Or at least a re-arm. There's no ammo, just around 8 weapons scattered around. Still the map is small when the server is full.

I may suggest the removal of gunkajima, too (I personally don't like it, and find a lot of people voting to change the map). I may note that this is the map that's played when the server restarts after a crash (that's probably why).

Yeah sure it may be a bit hard to drive them back at first but you can still kill them.

Well, that will merely mean that we can get out of the spawn without dying right after, but it still doesn't alleviate the primary issue of people camping in the spawn itself.  In fact, it may just make things more impossible since people will camp that tunnel too.

Here's an idea:  IF the map is fixed up, is it possible to make  walls that are only permeable by people of the zombie types, as in only zombies can get past it [and their poison fog [chems], or poison balls [poison zombies, poison headcrabs], and no humans, human melee weapons, or human gun bullets?

Winter survival map ws_arcticbillabong

It makes me question what process there is if any for testing maps before they are uploaded to the server / makes me think a map should at least be tested for basic game inhibiting problems before they are uploaded to the server.

Between spawning IN a mountain, to the possibility of getting spawned right over the water where the terrain is too steep to climb out, there are serious issues that make this map frustrating for me.

-I don't think that the spawncamping in fear tower is considered bad... zombies aren't really in their spawns and most of the times it is fair since zombies do get kills down there.

By wave 10 only 6 remained due to rage quits from team killing, Fustration and simply its a bad map :(

I agree with fear_tower, in some cases, when admins and/or VIPS that are not on zs, pushers can sometimes push people without being noticed, and the person that got pushed don't know who was that person(unless if he/she were recording) and he/she sometimes complain.
idk about nacht_un_toten, the only thing thats frowned upon is the mystery box, its an easy way to get magnums faster and usually people spam on it.

i need too admit my map is pretty bad, but i made this map along time ago when i was beginner mapper, i'm making an update to the map and i promise that the new version of this map will be a lot better than the old version but for now, i want my map removed due too unfair advantages and complaints

Horribly unbalanced. It's almost impossible to kill a human as a zombie when they camp in the vents. Only way to even have chances to win is to goomba everybody outside. Also, the map doesn't have any playerclips, so players can go outside the map to hide from zombies. Makes it even more harder.

Horribly unbalanced. It's almost impossible to kill a human as a zombie when they camp in the vents. Only way to even have chances to win is to goomba everybody outside. Also, the map doesn't have any playerclips, so players can go outside the map to hide from zombies. Makes it even more harder.

The map has shitty spawns, there is nothing preventing one person (or a team of 3+) from killing every single player on the map. From 3 out of 4 corners you can camp every spawn point.

The spawns are also shit, as they are mostly on the outskirts of the map and most are nowhere near any natural cover.

I see no reason for this map to be on the stronghold server, it's very poorly made and does not take into account balance.

This... I don't think the map owners optimized the maps enough, as I notice an unusual FPS drop on my Geforce 210, and occasional lockups in some areas. (it's not that good of a card, I know, but can run all the other maps with no lag at all, above 30 fps easy...)

Huh, I have a GTX460 and I never noticed a decrease of FPS on either. God though, I really hope Titanic is removed. That map is absolutely horrible. Sometimes even the doors kill you. D:
(Hm... I have experienced noticeable lag in some maps recently, but that is new. Wonder why. =P)

Personally I like Crazy Cubes because it is very... different than the other maps and the rounds go by quickly. However, I am someone who doesn't mind stuff other than normal TTT happening on TTT, while I know others don't. Like when an admin comes on, some of the people say "AW HELL NAH!" and quit. I like the insanity though. :3

You don't spawn in the prison, usually you're just unlucky and are AFK long enough for someone to push you off. You just need to pay attention when the round starts.

No, people pushing you off the edge puts you in the prison. And unless everybody coordinates the prison escaping, at least three people end up getting stuck right under the explosive barrels.

The barrel issue I'm talking about though is occurring inside AND outside the prison - either that, or my luck sucks.

I do remember somebody asking you in-game did you make the map and you said yes. But that's not the point now...
Doom is very OP for humans, every time I have played it humans always won. You could add another enterance to the healthstation room... It would balance the map a lot.

Hey, don't dizz my old-school map. Tomshouse is pretty awesome. It's been here forever and it will stay.
I don't like oldhouse either, but it's not that bad. Humans just need to use teamwork alot. Same goes with desert hideout.

both maps are really OP for humans..
Maze has perfect camping spot followed by ammo for every weapon pretty much as well as zombie continually block teleporter when map starts and killing humans as they teleport through and get stuck.. Ammo crates on large maps like this ruin the gameplay

Fear tower isnt so bad.. but too many people rush to the top and teamkill other player in the process as well as humans always camping up top and glitchcading the ladder going up to health station..

Overplayed. . . Overpowered . . . . Just not fun anymore

People are going to hate me for this, but could you remove ttt_titanic and ttt_minecraft?

They're both REALLY unoptimized. My 560GTX gets about 30fps on both of them, when I get about 150-200 on other maps. I don't know if it's just me, or everyone else.

That, and titanic is glitched for some people to where the world turns invisible if you go under water.

both are running fine for me 6850 @ 150fps~

You could at least attempt to give decent reasons why you want it removed.
For example, I want Crazy Cubes removed as it is played every other map.

ah. sorry. i would like crummy cradle removed as it is a very exposed map that does not allow much hit and run, forcing traitors to announce their class and either attempt to win by sniping from the ground or holding out in the button room. (bassically its just a very limited map)

I see what you're saying.  IMO it isn't anywhere as bad as Krusty Krab is/was, it can be annoying, but otoh it helps you with your reflexes, and acting without thinking as T.

From a gameplay perspective, it kinda was crap - if they remade it so you could go inside the Chum Bucket AND the Krusty Krab, and made everything to scale instead of this exaggeratedly oversized-everything, and made the layouts more like they actually were in the show [doable], then it'd have more areas to play in, more room for secrecy, expose, and not having to run what feels like miles to get from one building to another.

I don't understand all the hate for temple. we go to Clue, Crummy, Cubes, Assault, Boarders and Rich's more often that we go to Temple. At least that is how it seems when I'm on.

But what it does show is how ridiculously close cubes is to crummycradle yet no one is complaining, why, not to mention it shows that contrary to "OMFG ITS PLAYED EVERY OTHER MAP" it definitely is not. If we put in a 5 map vote limit the amount of times cubes would be played would still remain the same and if it's played that much and liked that much it's not something any smart server host would remove.

Maybe sometimes it is because when people do complain, some of the members here barrage them with a stream of belligerent insults and treat said person like shit.

NOT you, not that I need to disclaim it, but I've seen it happen.

EDIT: And what do you mean nobody, out of curiosity?  Here?  Plenty of complaints, on the servers?  Depends, I've seen it, not being there =/= it never happens.

Well, Imo just because a map is a good map doesn't mean people can get sick of it. Just getting rid of it won't mean we won't get it back later if we REALLY miss it. After all a change in maps could be fun instead of the casual line up of overplayed maps.
