Just curious to how people ended up with their names.
I remember seeing someone named SpySalamander a few years ago and decided to start using pyrosheep because Pyro was my favorite class at the time and sheep are pretty cool.

It was my steamid once.
246978
totally original
Then I decided it was Unit. Ofc there's all these prefixes from the last 4 years (Like ArchUnit atm), but I guess in 2008 I wanted to define myself as:
u·nit/ˈyo͞onit/
Noun:
An individual thing or person regarded as single and complete, esp. for purposes of calculation: "the family unit".
Each of the individuals or collocations into which a complex whole may be divided: "large areas of land made up of smaller units".

My original name was Ulrich. Shit happened. I thought of Supertoaster in a few seconds. False identity but everyone knew.

Back a shit while ago I started to play maple story for the first time, I liked final fantasy tactics. I tried to spell Lucavi (the demons the stones turned you into) but I ended up slamming my face on my keyboard and got Lavenchie.

Though I came up with the name before knowing this, Zev means wolf in Hebrew and ante means before in Spanish.

I got hooked to WoW at somewhat of a young age, and so one of my favorite things to do was name my characters. I remember I was in a movie theater and for some odd reason, I came up with the name "Dreader", so I had used that as a username for a few things for awhile. That name, however, wasn't super original and I was never truly happy with it. Eventually, I was driving somewhere in Oklahoma and there was a sign came up that said something along the lines "If you're car has [Insert list of axles], you pay this much at the next toll booth". For whatever reason, I had put a u in axle and it's just stuck.
As for the accented A in my name, it doesn't have much reason. I used to think it was super cool to have all of these fancy characters for your name, so I scrolled through Character Map for the longest time trying to find all of these cool, decorated characters to put as my name. I realized later though that it's not all that cool, so I changed it back to the original. However, I really really liked the way the accent looked on the A and figured it was the perfect touch: not too much, but just enough to make it unique. I like to think of it as my signature really.

Some guy at the computer camp I worked at 4 years ago helped come up with, encouraging me to use, the steam name I have now.
As for my forum name, been using that name for the better part of 12 years... from the end of my days trolling on, getting kicked off of AOL. God, I kinda miss the days where I couldn't sneak online because the modem would wake up my 'rents. :D

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukrainian?
It first was Franchu95, Franchu being a love-y nickname used by my relatives.
Then I came back as Frank, seeing as I was the only one and having grown (aside from Mr FrankLIN). Frankie because Frankie is a qt piece of bunny pie name.
Sometimes Frankie50 because of the .50 BMG caliber.

Well usernames... is just my name in a certain arrangement. As for forum names and stuff, I used to L4D and I liked that achievement.

Originally I used a ton of different names, I settled on Dr. Zoidberg for a while since I was pretty good at making the "sand-crabbing" sound he does on futurama.
Then I switched to Dark Rain for unknown reason used that for a bit, someone mentioned to me that that was the name of a serial killer (Pretty sure it isn't now but w/e).
So I put an X on the front of rain, and voila!
Mind you this was all back in the days of dial-up, and I would go with friends to a LAN-party room and play video games there. So I've been using this name for a pretty long time.

people tell me memo
