Britain has had a history of crazy security overreactions like when they closed off a few blocks to safely dispose of a .22LR shell casing or confiscating a Star Trek sword (http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/news/4521499.Klingon_sword_seized_in_Accrington_police_raids/) but this is totally disproportionate.

...you're not at all concerned about Big Brother, missles on roofs of apartment buildings, the HMS Ocean in the Thames, the huge electrified fence, or the couple dozen thousand of troops around the city?

Think about your country's future, this kind of mobilization and willingness to use military force for a goddamn sports event can't be good.

It's security and preemptive measure, I don't see anything wrong with it, if anything I'd encourage it.

Seb its a matter of where you live and how you where raised... in Britain people are used to be run like sheep and being stepped on by the hierarchy of society, that's how they lived their lives fore hundreds of years. we all have to live with are choices.. it comes down to which would you prefer, being a Bird that is free to roam and do as it pleases, or a caged bird that is safe yet cramped and can only go where its master tell its to.
