NOTE: This thread contains content that was almost in another thread, but moved here as it's more of a guide than a suggestion. This is a WIP and info regarding these would be great.


UPDATE: I don't have the stats for the custom weapons, someone is asking coolz for that.

I recently did a test with some weapons and got the folowing:
Mosin Nagant = 45   M4 = 22   |   SMG = 10   MP5 = 6   |   FAMAS = 10   M14 = ##   AK47 = ##

The number is how much damage they deal to another player at close range (when shot in the balls). I preformed this test when I dealt full damage so these are correct.

NOTE: This may not be completed for quite some time, though you can get the stats of every non-custom weapon.

I also have made an image in paint to help prevent people for killing players over the inability to spell words backwards or read the description.

EDIT: The spell check thinks "Mosin Nagant" is misspelled.

EDIT2: It also thinks "Deagle" and "Glock" are misspelled, so nevermind.

It's an M16 not M4 and the hands are CSS arms if I'm not mistaken unless you're using custom stuff. It's also fully-auto. Each magazine has 20 rounds with 60 rounds reserve.

AK-47 has 35 rounds not 45

SMG is called MAC-10

So I got my karma high enough to deal full damage, got two people to help me, informed them of exactly what I was going to do, get their consent, asked them if they had full health, and then I shot them once in the balls after they said yes. I then got how much health they had after I hit them.

Well this thread will fix that. Idealy I'm going to have those numbers too, then Don can put it on his list for all to see

In order to help me with that, can anyone inform me about the folowing:

1. What percentage of damage does the Detective's/Traitor's bodyarmor block?

2. Does the body armor do anything against headshots?

3. What is the headshot multiplier?

Certain weapons have headshot multipliers. For example the rifle does 50 with a multipler of 4, up to 200

So each weapon has their own unique headshot multiplier... Great. I guess I won't be adding headshot damage to this thread anytime soon.

That's not my goal and has never been my goal. My goal is to have as low as respect as possible to spite the very system and to remind people that how high someone's respect is has nothing to do with the quality of the post.

Plenty of people have asked for negative respect before. You're not spiting the system for being "unfair." You aren't spiting it for being inaccurate or for misrepresenting you as a person.

I'm granting myself the luxury of assuming what your intentions are because they're always the same. You're asking for negative respect because if you ask for it and get it (Which you will), you can say to others that you have your negative respect because you requested it. Here's a spoiler: You don't need to ask. Positive respect is gained by making helpful or otherwise outstanding posts. Negative respect is earned by being immature, juvenile, or insensitive. You feel like having it under different circumstances will improve your reputation, but it won't. The major flaw in your ad-hoc reasoning is that it's been attempted and failed many times before.

I see your point and for the most part you're right. Though I wouldn't say I asked for it, I'd tell them they shouldn't care. (How ironic.) /offtopic

In order to get the headshot damage I think I might be able to just shoot people in the face as Traitor and record the damage logs. I'd have to preform a few tests as well, about distance having an effect on damage dealt and so forth... Though I'm unsure if there is a better way. I have never actually viewed damage logs in-game through the console before but if memory serves me well this strategy should work.

He could just sift through the .gcf for garrysmod and look at the exact damages done by guns in the terrortown folder.

I lost the shared.lua for all the ones I did when I transferred files from my laptop to this pc, so you may never see what they are
