The last interesting convention here in town was like, MineCon. But that shit was pretty expensive.
There is a furry convention near my town.
;_;
There is a furry convention near my town.that explains a lot.
;_;
I almost went to a convention last year in my state but none of my friends understood what they were so I had no one to go with ;_;
..but Im kind of glad I didn't go because I was obsessed with homestuck at the time and was planning to go as one of the trolls. that explains a lot.
One day, sir. We will have something interesting.We need like, a Rockcon.

I guess I go to the Renaissance fair whenever I can. Those duels are amazing. Always feels fun to pick up that giant hammer and pretend you're big and tough before you realize that you just dislocated your shoulder. funfun.oh shit I remember going to one of those when I was in 2nd grade on a field trip, it was kind of weird walking around in a school uniform while everyone else was all dressed up for it.. I remeber seeing these tiny drum cymbals you can put around your finger or w.e. and I wanted it SO BAD I even asked people around me for money and begged our chaperone for it, but I never got it ):
350 DOLLARS FOR A FUCKING HAMMER? THAT'S COMPLETELY reasonable.

Ah, those tiny drum cymbals.......I hated those.
Honestly I never really dressed up since I couldn't really afford to get that metal armor or custom clothing whenever I went. Just had more important shit to buy first. Really, if you can impress some people (some how ._.) they're so into it that they'll give you shit. I still think those duels are really intense.
I guess if a Comic Con or any other one of those conventions come up around Las Vegas I'll try to dress up as doctor purnell with a gas mask, although nobody would know who that is. If anyone knows of any near here please tell me, I really need an excuse to buy one.
What, gas masks? Go to a surplus store.
We need like, a Rockcon.
I call going as Slash.

My and my friend were actually going to go to this one as KF characters (me as Mr. Foster), but I couldn't find a GP-5 in time. ;_;
Oh god that's going to be my next one.
Yeah, I'm thinking of going as a Combine Elite next year and the girl I'm always with can be a rebel.
Also, by any chance someone know the price of regular gas masks?
They're actually pretty cheap, usually like $10 - $40. When I was looking for the GP-5, prices were from $15 to $25. The PMG that I'm gonna need for the Elite is around $12 to $20, as far as what Ebay is telling me.
Well, all I really need to know now is about the labcoat and if there are any conventions nearby. I suck at finding them.
Hotgreen if you get that damn gas mask you better come to Comic-con next year. >:1
We know your tears of joy alphaggot. Don't worry, we won't judge you if you go.
:trollface:
I actually went to the convention with a few friends. I think I may have a few pictures of some of the people who dressed up. Its not hot if you paint ears on your self and call your self a furry.
BREAKING NEWS: ALPHAGGOT WENT TO A FURRY CONVENTION
Hotgreen there's always anime Vegas

unf, just the thought of going to Comic Con as a Combine Elite...
Anybody know if Comic Con has a rave at night? I know I'm a faggot for asking.
Tell me when the next one is coming. I can't google worth shit.You realize by saying jabbing them it just sounds worse right?
LOL, did you meet any of the...Strange ones there?
I actually really want to go to a rave mainly because it's all dark and you can easily do stuff to people without them noticing.
I MEAN JABBING THEM AND BLAMING IT ON SOMEONE ELSE. CALM YOURSELVES.
If you do go to one you should be careful. They're usually unregulated and lots of sketchy shit goes on. I had someone tell me a story about how they went to a rave and someone was trying to pay them to go around sticking needles in people.

MY INTERNET WENT OFF AS SOON AS IT GONE DONE TYPING. SEE??!?! ;-;
Alright, I have until November to get all the shit I need. Are plastic guns allowed? Going to see if I can bring a fake revolver as well.
I'm pretty sure you can even bring a real gun as long as you have a pass from the main security saying that you won't cause harm.
I don't know conventions, but at gun shows they put a ziptie through the slide so the weapon cannot be fired, and if they find you with a gun that doesn't have one you are escorted to the police
Thing is I don't have enough for a taurus .357 ._.
so bringing a plastic one is alright? This'll be fun, anyone else coming?
I can't stand anime, or I'd go as the soldier (tf2) and wouldn't give a shit.
If you can't stand anime then ohjeez, it's going to be hell for you. "DESUDESUDESUDESU"

WELP, I'm torn between costumes. I'm definitely going next year for at least one day as a Combine Elite, but my friend wants to do the KF cosplays and another friend planted the idea of wearing T-51b Power Armor from Fallout into my head.
You realize by saying jabbing them it just sounds worse right?

if there is a lyokocon you know where to find meIn the bathroom stall in the back, masturbating from such shear lyoko overload?
OHGODSEB YOUR DANCING. IT'S SO AMAZING. TWO STARS FOR THE WIN.
Was that song of storms dubstep remix in the background? o.o
Bumping with this question:
Anybody planning on going to any conventions in the future?
My friend wants to take me to Megacon in March, I'll be going to Supercon again next year, and I'll try convincing my parents to go to San Diego next year for Comic Con.
Bumping with this question:I'm prolly going to find a giant cardboard box, paint it orange, and go to Anime Vegas as Solid Snake. Hell I don't even need to dress up as Snake, I just need the cardboard box.

Bumping with this question:YES, GO TO COMIC CON. I am going next year and I am trying to convince other rNd members to come. It can be like one big meet up! Supa fun. :D

I might show up to comicon in san diego next year :3
I'll probably try to be one of the very few MALE link cosplays.. no offense to the girl ones.. they are usually pretty good :0
something Cogs said
Ugh, please, go as something else. Link cosplays are so overdone.
My personal opinion overrides yourz lool
Have fun being Link #26, then.
Personally I think that being the only one of any individual cosplay isn't what I am going for.
It's more like.. if I attempt a legitimate reproduction.. I will be 1 of 3 really decent links.. 2 others probably girls LOL
the other 23 can suck it
It's not that hard to make a Link cosplay, though. Of the ten or so links that showed up to Supercon, a good six of them looked amazing. None of them were girls. If you want to, go ahead, but I'm sure you can definitely do much better.Bitch please.
Bitch please.

This shit takes hard work and dedication.
Bitch please.
This shit takes hard work and dedication.
YOU bitch please, the hardest part of that looks like the gloves and waiting for the shield and sword to come in the mail. What would really take hard work and dedication a making an costume of armor, or something elaborate. Link's outfit is neither elaborate or armor, and ergo is easy to make.Simple outfits can be more elaborate then you think. Trust me. Making super cool looking armor may take a lot of time, but making a simple outfit look legit takes a lot of time and work too. The people who made that cosplay made the shield and the sword, made the outfit and the boots and shit. Then you have makeup to do, a long with attaching the ears, making the wig perfect, possibly contacts. Some people like to make their own things, which is what this person and his people did. Just that alone impresses me a lot. All that time and effort for something that looks simple.

If they MADE the sword and shield, that's pretty neat. If the clothes they're using are hand-sown, that's pretty neat too.Yeah that entire cosplay is handmade, so I respect it a lot.
But otherwise, you throw on a big green shirt over a long-sleeved white shirt and white pants, put a leather belt over your belly, buy a leather belt with pouches and sling it over a shoulder, put a thin green hoodie's hood over your head, thin leather boots over your feet, bam. Styling the hair can't take too long if your hair is long enough, putting the ears shouldn't take more than a few minutes unless you're retarded. A few hours spent driving, fifteen minutes spent putting the costume and all it's pieces on, and not much more than $55 spent (not counting the shield and sword, and chances are they won't let you in with the sword anyway).
I'll give credit where it's due, though: it's hard to put Photoshop's contrast filter over you in real life.
Seb, Marie.
Remind me to never go with you to a convention.
Comic Con's gonna be fuuuuun.
Like I said, I'd only go as a TF2 Character. More than likely the Soldier.
Not only would I be alone, I'd have to live up to These guys (http://ryancrasmussen.blogspot.com/2009/11/ryan-1-world-0.html)
AND THEN, I've never like comics
so
I'd only be going to...play dress up
I got it,
my uncle looks like Nico.
You, in your suit photo, look like Roman.
piece it together from there
I still hold true to the fact that I do not, in fact, look like fatty yokel roman

All you need to do is fix the hair and BAM!
I still hold true to the fact that I do not, in fact, look like fatty yokel romanYou can get purple shades, a wig and a cardboard cut-out Rickenbacker and pull a Geddy Lee.
The only way I would go to Comic Con is if 13 other people decided to cosplay Organization XIII with me.
