My friend wants to build his own decent gaming rig. He has a budget of $750. If you can list some good parts for his machine it would be a big help.
So far I've chosen:
i5 2500k - $220
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 - $168 (should I get ASUS?)
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL 8G Kit(4Gx2) DDR3 1333 - $48
HDD - ???
MSI SATA DVD RW - $29
NVIDIA GTX460 - $150 (What brand?)
Antec 300 Case - $59 (Add more fans)
PSU - ???
Total=674 (without HDD and PSU
There's a quick list I came up with. He is in Australia so ordering from newegg isn't something he would do. Also, he wouldn't mind having an AMD build. And yes, I know adding a HDD and PSU would make the price over budget so if you would kindly reccomend any parts that would better the price for him it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Shit happens. Its just bad luck. Its just annoying to hear "THIS COMPANY SUCK BECAUSE I GOT 1 DOA PART" every other day. But regardless, yes, go with Asus. In general, they are a better company.

Talked to a guy at frys, the one who tested my PC when i failed to put it together.
He had to RTV 4 of those boards, including mine, because they were DOA.
And don't worry. I'm not writing a review, just an opinion.

Anyways, for HDD, youve got a choice between not getting one now, and not getting one now.
And PSU... Youve got so many options... Yeah

Ok then, ASUS it is, I have a Z68-V PRO myself though the model has been updated for PCI 3.0 recently. So then, which board would be best value for the money?

I hate people who write reviews on newegg that have nothing to do with the product.
"1 EGG BECAUZE THEY DELIVERED IT A DAY LATE OMG SUCKS    "
GTX 460:

If you want the cheapest one you'll have to wait for that PNY GTX 460 that's there for $120
