I'm pretty sure when he said America he meant the continent of America not the USA, Just because you have America at the end of your country's name doesn't mean when someone says America their talking to you Lol

America is not a continent, it is the abbreviation for a country. The continents you are referring to are North America and South America. It may piss you off, but "america" merely an antiquated term for the group of continents since it is commonly used for the country "The United States of America". It is just too ambiguous to use that way.
Try "The Americas".
And @shawn. Google any reference to "america". I guarantee damn near all of them reference the country. So I think I am within my rights to assume someone is referring to the country when they say "America".
Overall the name of the country is not something to complain about. Unless you do some kind of clerical work, and have to deal with this on a constant basis you have nothing to complain about.
@DoeniDon If you are going to talk Switzerland, I highly respect that country. However, you have little if any military accomplishments of your own, so you cant use those as references to how awesome you are.
