Sure it is when someone asks whats a synagogue?

The answer pretty much everyone gives is "a Jewish Church"

Its simply the best and easiest way to tell others what they are.

Lol rlly? here everyone knows what's a church, maybe cause lots of the people here hate churches >.<
Last year when my class visited an old church, some religious guys stayed outside and they were throwing stones on the church lolfail.

Synagogue is the building, but you can use 'congregation' in it's place sometimes.

The Church is the religion itself, followers, bellieves, etc.
The Synagogue, or the "Church", as you may call it, is actually the temple.
Doesn't matter the religion, they are all temples.
