help with lag please :(

Name your garrysmod/garrysmod (the garrysmod folder where maps, materials, addons etc are in) folder something like Garrysmod OLD.
Start Gmod, it should create a new garrysmod folder.

yah frank helped me already and hopefully it works now.
Ive lagged a couple of times in flood etc.

lagged some in zs but it wasnt just me.
So hopefully I won't lag as much.

Great, now this thread should die or be locked =O

I need further assistance.
Should I just delete gmod completely and reinstall backing up my maps?

Have you tried setting the priority to normal/anything else again via the Task Manager? And checked the launch options of GMod?
If you did, I guess a reinstall is the only thing you can do.
