Experiencing problems with Alien Swam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehwtjIDya5w#ws)
-
Search for mdmp files in steam and alien swarm directories, happened to me too and deleting the mdmp files solved it =D
If that's not the problem, try starting it full screen?
-
Hell, there are alot of MDMP files in Steam folder.
Which one?

I hate to be the thread derailer, but isn't that the sound from one of the portal2 trailers?
Also, try reinstalling it. That's the first thing I would do :( (that is, if you haven't already restarted your computer)

Re-installed the game several times, doesn't work.

Steam saves most of the files from a game when you 'delete local content.'
Make sure EVERYTHING IS GONE. xD
