Is it just me or does it seem like we have been having stronger earthquakes than normal? I felt the 7.2 earthquake in Mexico from California. Personally I don't care about earthquakes, however I'm frightened about the tsunamis that earthquakes cause.

D: This year is a good one not to be in Earth.

You don't care bout earthquakes? here in Israel if we will have a 6.5+ earthquake, most of the buildings will collapse =\ (including the building I live at -_-)

Yeah we felt baha's 7.2 when we were at disneyland people freaked the fuck out

Is it just me or all these natural disasters are coming more than usual...?
It's like one earthquake after another...
Is it because we're getting closer to 2010?
Dun dun dun.
No but seriously, Tsunamis is the scariest natural disaster to me..
I have nightmares about this kind of stuff..
We don't have earthquakes here in South Carolina. At least I've never experienced one.
But tsunamis sends chills down my spine.
I've only visited the beach about 4 times in my whole lifetime.
With my kind of luck, the next time I do go... sigh..
-
One of the eathquakes was so strong that it knocked the earth 1/2 of a degree off axis, maybe that cause all the others...
-
Damn, peepz... Nobody gon die. I'm gon halps you all :)

Lawl, we have earthquakes of like 2-4, higher than that and most of buildings collapse, we never had tsunami's or hurricanes in Israel.

Is it because we're getting closer to 2010? Did you mean 2012? Cause we're already at 2010 xDD

LOL, 4 times at the beach, ONLY?? I've been like 50+ times lul, maybe its cause the beach here looks better and is more fun =D
And about the tremors thing, there can be 2 reasons: 1) there's lots of pressure in the earth's core and it's pushing upwards, causing tremors.
2) Magnetic field is changing because the solar winds from the sun are stronger/hotter/bigger, affecting earth.
And tsunami is nothing compared to a meteor crash, explosions in space, sun rays that goes through huge wholes in the Ozone and burn everything =D
Solution number 1 (for all of this): Venus Project.
Solution number 2 (for all of this): Find another planet to settle at =D
Solution number 1 is easier, number 2 is extremely hard, almost near impossible =D

thank god l life in finland :D
Finland is awesome, I really have to go there once.
We don't have any Earthquakes at all here in Switzerland (or at least none that are mentionable). And we don't really have to be afraid of tsunamis since the nearest Beach is in Germany. But in both cases, I think we're protected quite well.

We Win.

I live in California and I've only visited the beach twice in my life. God, my life sucks. :(

I live in Wisconsin and we haven't EVER gone past Iowa....ever. STEERING TOPIC NOW!!!!
The earthquakes seem to be happening a lot more often but because I live out in the middle of a tectonic plate I think I'm ok, or wasn't there a low power earthquake somehwere around Iowa? I don't pay attention to the news...
