is your game full screen?
cause i had that problem, to fix it just run gmod in windowed noborder mode

change it to windowed, i had that problem to, it was instantly fixed when i went windowed mode ;D

noez change to windowed noborder but change the game reso to ur desktop reso and it look fullscreen lol

well l tryed windowed with border and no border and it didnt work  :'(

btw, l cant find my desktop reso from settings but it is 1400 x 900...  :o

You need to change your "Aspect Ratio" to Widescreen 16:10 in the game, video options to be able to change it to 1400 x 900 or 1440 x 900.
