I prefer the stability and speed that comes with a linux server over a home-hosted server.
My internet wouldn't be able to support this many players on the server at once, and I don't have an extra 4GB, Quad Core computer lying around to hook up.
Plus, the power cost alone would be a lot higher than what I'm paying now.
