The main difference was that you were 15, and these kids are 5 and 6. They don't think of a penis the say way you thought of a penis.

its probably more like
6 year old: WTF IS THAT THING (touches and gropes)
15 year old: SO THIS IS A PENIS HUH (touches and gropes)
bottom line is, 6 year old doesnt know what the hell it is and what the hell its for let alone what its called. So the little kids would probably just of course touch it and inspect it closely compared to a 15 year old who KNEW that it is a penis and knows how it functions and whats its for. Meaning the 15 year old is leaning more on the physical attributes of a penis since she'd never seen one versus the little kids whos curious as to what it actually is and what it does and why she doesnt have it.
