Yes, I know. At points, (not around the time of crashing however) the fans will start up really fast and make a shit ton of noise.
I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the video card... I don't know much about hardware shit, but I guess it's probably more likely to be something to do with the CPU? Maybe RAM? Either way I can't fool around hoping shit will work. My brother also previously had the same computer, he also had a lot of issues, and he got a nice new $1700 Gateway computer... I'm later probably going to try plugging in his RAM to see if it makes a difference, as I don't think his RAM from his old computer was damaged. Can't mess around with the CPU though... he ripped the heat sinc. and fan off of it :l. I doubt the RAM will work, but I'ma give it a go I guess :/.

Since his is newer I don't think it will work because yours probably uses older DDR2 ram which doesn't work in a DDR3 slot.
