I was playing combat arms once (I know, ha) with my clan buddy/GM and he started acting all weird all of a sudden. He kept asking for pie and stuff. The next day his sister came on and said he got shocked by lightning.

Those don't help with lightning strikes at all... But i wouldn't worry, chances of getting hit arr slim to none and if you do there'd be more things to worry about then your computer frying.

In Toronto almost every lighting strike hits the CN tower.
Not many outages.
