If I was a Southern slave owner I would've been a bro to my slaves. I'd have educated them, maybe given some help with the chores, treat them as family, they'd basically be like maids nowadays.

I would to, except that they wouldn't really be "slaves" anymore

Devie:
believe it or not, there were rich families who were like that.
Treated them equally and respected them. Mainly because when they were kids, they were raised by them and grew up to be loving towards them even though their parents werent. They basically got attached when they were young.

Gave them a house and whatever they wanted as long as they stayed with them.

It's pretty nice to know that there were some who were like that.
