Steam freezes and/or won't start games.

So here is my problem, after few days of not touching my PC I came back and started steam, I decided that I want to play some TF2, I tried to run the game and steam just froze, after that I tried to start Garry's mod and it didn't load, after few more attempts I tried CSS and it didn't run too, what's the problem?

Have you try basic stuff like reinstalling steam? If you're problem still persists try running a defrag on your games.

Try waiting, I think It'll initialize the update or start the update since you didn't touch your computer for couple of days

Try to run non-source games. If they run with no freezes, It's your updates. If it also doesn't work for non-source games, then I don't know.
