OMG same here thats probably why i don't like horror movies but I'm not afraid of clowns because of it..... atleast i don't think i am... I can't recall ever seeing a clown face to face in my lifetime...

I know what you mean there! Been in that situation and its' opposite situation as well.
and I found it easier to have an huge open flat space iwith nothing around in the darkness..

Than in the middle of the woods (FUCKING COOLZ) or abandoned building in the dark.

It's because I felt something/someone was watching me behind those trees or windows of the building than being in the open space.
It felt good to know that even if you're in pitch black darkness in the middle of an open space, it felt good that you will be able to run freely as opposed to woods or buildings.

When i was about 10 years old, I scared my little sister with a big clown doll by putting it in an open-dark closet.
