well I'm supposed to be "good" at math irl, but I never really was able to listen to my subconscious like that

my theory is that the reason Augusts/savants can do that is because autism basically impairs social ability, so they're able to listen to their own mind more easily

just my thoughts on it. this thread is now about math

Nah.

I'm just implying that the social impairment of autism is part of what gives savants the ability to do math subconsciously.

I can't do that shit whenever I want, but everyone has the capacity for it.
