I still don't understand control points.

You could probably just add simple collision.

I've got it set at the spot I need it but can't figure out how to morph it. I basically just want to take the waterfall and stretch it over something. I thought that using the control points and the control points' parents would do that, but I think I'm wrong.

I would recommend you doing a model/brush with scrolling water fall texture on it. TF2 has this model. You could use it.

jimonions:
yea your better off just making a model or displacement for a waterfall and then adding water effects.
simple displacement with waterfall texture with particles for water splashes and ripples.
