If it's too stupid to sound true it probably is.
I bet the magazine just asked a few home schooled kids that question and came out with those facts. (exaggerating)

My school's philosophy: believe whatever you wish, outside of tests.
Also, I had to take sex ed.
In one experiment in sex ed, I caused (directly and nondirectly) 35 people to get AIDS.

Many magazines in Europe, like Welt der Wunder arn't exactly the most accurate magazines. Many Private and Catholic schools have different religious views than any other private type schools in the world. While public schools in the United States cannot support religious views.
