The limit for which the U.S. defaults on loans has been set higher and higher each presidency for the past 16 or so years. It's just going to get higher and higher until we do something, but seeing as both sides have their ideals this makes them unable to find a solution. Really nothing bad will come of this on that date in August, but if politics weren't so caught up in the decisions that they think would get them reelected next term, we could actually make some progress.
