go to friends window and click arrow by your name, go offline.

you will still be able to play, you just wont be able to talk to friends over steam as you appear offline to them.

1. Make second steam account
2. Get gmod for that account somehow
3. Play gmod in that account in rnd servers
4. If finding hacker, use another computer with gmod with the account that has vip/admin
5. Join server, if full, then select option join when empty space
6. If it was full, quit the server from the other lolzy account
7. Join the server and kick/ban
8. ???
9. Profit!

On the serious note though, it's not something that I think could be abused and would help the community get rid of hackers/rdmers/whatever. Just change name/avatar temporarily

A lot of the time identity is revealed by other players in the server.

Tags are only shown during chat or mic usually.

Easiest way is changing name/avatar and going offline on steam friends.

I'll lock this as I think the above is a better solution to the issue.
