But anyways, I have braces too. It sucks.
When you first get them on is the worst, the rest usually isn't quite as bad. The pain goes away in 1 - 2 weeks too.
I hate not being able to eat though :/. Usually all I really eat then is icecream :L. (sure it's good, but I'd rather not gain 20 pounds off icecream)

I have never heard of a set of braces that cost that much lol.
Both me and my brother have braces, I only have braces on the top set of teeth, my brother has it on both bottom and top, and he also has some device that uses hooks and shit to crank two of his teeth out, which is one of the more expensive pieces of equipment. Together, our braces cost about $13 000.
Okay yea, costs more than I thought LOL.
That's not all paid by us though, insurance covers most of it.
