hl2 was released around 2004
but if I'm correct, portal 2 runs on a slightly modified l4d2 engine, which is a modified source engine
l4d2 came out in nov. 2009
deg is implying that most portal 2 players are about 1 1/2 years old.

I use Cake engine. But I have trouble with Dynamic lighting and cars don't crash as good as they do irl.

i use xray engine. ive got dynamic lighting. sadly i crash if you hardware im in isnt tight good enough
