Checkered textures (Hammer)

I don't know if this happens to everyone, but is there a way to disable it?
It gets sort of annoying.

Nope.

And sometimes, When I have a shiny texture, I can see the reflection of a skybox texture. (Normally one I'm not using.)

jimonions:
They are usually textures with different shader properties.

This occurs when switching to shaded / textured in the 3d viewbox.

That's as far as I can tell.
