Spoiler (click to show/hide)I had a computer once.
It was the best computer ever.
I did everything on it.
THEN ONE DAY it had to get wiped. Completely.
All that hard work... endless hours in front of a screen... everything I did had to be erased.
I could only save so much data.
Then eventually, after a heart-wrenching 29 Clean Sweeps later, the Hard Drive fried itself to death, along with the motherboard.
Dude, I know. It sucks. Major.
But

And think about it this way... when you get something new, it's always easier to start over... at least; that's true with computers.
Oh and they run faster too, sometimes.
I also don't believe changing the RAM will change anything, especially if you get the same type/set as the original... basically it'd be like installing a non-defunct RAM, and your computer will be Pre-errors once again :>

You best bet would be to send the laptop into the manufacture to get it fixed.
This is a useful website on the subject.

^You should probably definitively listen to Xrain.
Xrain:
RMA stands for: Return Merchandise Authorization
RAM stands for: Random Access Memory.
It is actually quite easy to chance laptop RAM (Memory) in most cases, but the problem your describing sounds a lot more like a Video Card Problem
You would be much better off bringing to a reputable computer repair store, as they would be able to better diagnose it than just a bunch of people over the internet.
If you had an extensive set of Computer Repair skills and were asking for advice that would be a different story. However, since you seem new to computer repair, bring it to a repair shop.
Pontus:
its either faulty ram or card
Mr.apples:
sry i had to resurrect the post, ok i decided to give gmod a break, but yeah. my computer is around 2001-2003 and its a xps m1210, the lowest spec you can find the,1.66 ghz one(miracle,i can play tf2 fine) i srsly don't want to buy a new computer, and repairment cost alot of money, i can't add or remove ram since this is an old computer, and its in horrible condition....unless theres a cheap "RMD", and is there a good place you can tell me that can repair my computer?
