I bought dis here PSU

I bought a psu for my computer, a Corsair 600watt, and I install it in my comp

doesnt work. I check all plugs, still doesnt work

ask a computer tech i know to come, he says its right, we try again, doesnt work

we're afraid we shorted the motherboard so we plug in my old psu and it works like a charm.


I figure its Defective or it has something to do with the CPU Power pins? My mobo has a 2x2 design (4 pins) like :: and we plugged in the PSU's which is a 6 pin by only plugging in one half of it. ::

is it defective or does it have something to do with that?

there is your problem, you need a 1000 watt power supply

I bought it from bestbuy in store so I have 30 days to take it back :D.


planning to get the same one, if it doesn't work i'll try office depot, Im not gonna use newegg btw.

also does anyone know about the CPU plug thing?
