...just no

--- Quote from: Sabb on June 14, 2011, 12:16:01 PM ---Well if it's punishment you're really looking for (I don't mean you specifically), than it would be more punishing to have the person live a limited life in jail. The people wanting a person through a death sentence are only looking for immediate satisfaction, as disturbing as it sounds. But when you think of it a minute, if a person is sent to jail, they're going to review their whole lives every minute they're in there, thinking what they could have done differently and if what they had done was necessary or proper, and wishing they had their freedom back. So jail is more of a punishment in other words. If more people looked away from in the moment, and didn't have their minds so focused on revenge, a lot more people were realize this.
--- End quote ---
But thinking about all those thoughts, the thoughts of when you were free, about how you would never have that back, that the rest of your life is going to be sitting in a jail cell thinking about these depressing thoughts and then knowing when you would meet your maker, that is torture, and if I were them, I would have just suicided and stop my own suffering. Although it WOULD be the cowardly way to deal with it

Err...oh boy...
Well, as long as I get paid a hefty amount and the person is unconscious/unaware and we're both in privacy

Not torture.
The people that end up there caused it themselves.
