Since it seems people don't actually know what 2012 is...
It's supposedly the end of the world because the Mayan calender predicted many catastrophic events or some shit, and even event they predicted actually happened, but on that specific date in 2012 the calender just ends. Idk any specific events or dates that the calender had predicted though, and I can't find any, so idk how it really works. I think there's the last event recorded on the calender in 2012, then it just stops, so people assume it's the end of the world.
It's really stupid anyways.
