Currently, it's all in one partition.

I want to know if I can split that into another 250GB partition, Copy over the files from the old partition to the new one, then delete the old partition and add it back to my main HDD.

I'm sure this is possible.

Just grab a bootable distro like partedmagic ( http://partedmagic.com/doku.php?id=downloads )

- Boot it
- Open gparted
- resize 32bit OS disk to desired size
- create new partition with remaining unallocated space
- start windows
- initialize/format new partition as ntfs
- copy over documents
- reboot with win7 64 bit install
- wipe original 32bit partition
- install 64bit
-> run 64bit OS partition with 2nd document partition

Or you can copy documents back over to the partition ( now with 64bit on it ), delete the second partition, and resize 64bit windows partition to fill remaining space -- if you wanted all one partition.

Good lux!

Be careful, halving a HDD into 2 partions might fuck up some files that are on the other side of the HDD
