i kinda wish you could control how zoomed out the maps were, notch showed it in the trailers but never put it in to my knowledge

although i would have no problem combining maps.
like one map would be 1:8, craft them together for 1:16

idea: have a minecart train station with a giant wall-sized map of the entire area and the routes

he's already said he plans on wall-mountable maps
