Laptop GPU's are always integrated. The "pci-e" ones are just soldered into the mobo with a single cable coming out of it that connects to the gpu.

Theoretically, you can remove it, but finding another laptop to put it in is slim, and finding one that its actually compatible with it (remember, you cant swap lappy psu's) is almost impossible.

or youknow, it could be a half asses laptop using a nvidia card and use a port.
and trust me, selling a 8800m sli is easy. tons of overheating issues for this beastly block ^_^

Open it up then.

You're thinking this is inside it

when in reality, it's something like this

The thing is, you won't even find another laptop that it fits inside, unless it's the exact same motherboard.

You can't scrap a laptop for parts. Really.

The smartest thing to do would be to just order a replacement LCD monitor that meets the dimensions, then try to replace that.

i was thinking about replacing case, but like i said, other hand, a nice chunk of money for upgrades. and btw this is whats in my lappy
plus since tehre are lots of overheating issues with the case its meant for, there tend to be quite a few that can easily be sold

Just get a replacement screen.

Just be sure to match the original screen.

As for the case, just repair with superglue and bits of plastic, file away any bad edges.

Doesn't have to be pretty just needs to hold the components.
