Whatt he says is true.

Not only there will be more lag, but this will increase the download time for the guys joining the servers, since they have to DL the hat models, trails, and all that shiz, so it won't really be ''Fast DL''. Plus, I find this copies Sassilation. I've changed my vote to

Ty for reminding me cable.

What servers have you been to that you didn't need to download? The servers that need to download are worth it. I didn't expect the "lagging" part though...I've been to a server which had like 1000 downloads needed and I didn't lag at all o-o.
Also, what's "Sassilation"? Is it a server with a point shop? If so, then that is not the only server that consists a point shop you know. o.o

No, they won't. The hat's tend to be props from CSS or HL2, and would require no extra download. The code itself is all server-side. FastDL just means that the download content is hosted on a webserver. It's a "Fast Download", not a "Small Download".
It would cause a bit more lag on the server though, due to the fact it's using that much more of the servers (And clients) resources.
