After reading a post by Cable
--- Quote from: Cable on March 16, 2011, 06:46:41 PM ---It agitates me how people make an application and they will ask all their friends to sign up to the forum just to +1.
Just some words of advice, 'Newbie' rank voters HARDLY count at ALL. They will not be taken NEARLY as seriously as others.
I am NOT giving you a  or a
I'm just giving you a heads-up

Though what it made me think of is unrelated it should remind all of you that people could easily make a second account just to +1 their own applications.
My suggestion is that if a person makes an account and +1's an app that was made less then one hour ago the IP should be checked to see if it's the same IP or a different one to make sure that the person did not +1 their own app with alts.
Any thoughts?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)I know Cable said "friends" but it made me think of this.

Good point but not everyone uses proxies, this would at least help the problem somewhat.

Seems like an obvious choice.
