Rocket, that's not the right answer because you can't divide the x^2 out because it's addition, not multiplication.

The finalized answer for #2 is

         
1 - y^2/x^2

I'd rather not explain, so here is a simple way to make sure its correct:

Let X be 1, let Y be 2. The simplified version should equal the original question if it was done correctly.

   1^2  - 2^2                      1-4                      -3
 -----------------------    =   ------------- =     ------------  = -3
          1^2                            1                        1



(1 - y^2)

= 1 - 2^2

= 1 - 4

= -3

if (-3 == -3) {Answer = Correct}
