Seems like fairly logical pathway for multiple timelines with possibly similar stories and some shared elements.

Overall seems organized around a basic plot.

As for meaning I'd probably start to break down per part ( 1 , 2 , 3 )

Ya i had to watch it like 3 times.

but I'm kind of breaking it down into parts and like trying to figure out like what things represent I guess.

So i figured out that the key represents life. I can't figure out what the picture in the beginning is for or why he randomly gets the tattoos when the kids run away.
