How To Watch .dem File:
1. Download the file
2. Put it in \Steam\steamapps\{your username}\garrysmod\garrysmod folder
3. Start Garry's Mod
4. Open console and type:  play {demo name here}

Oh, by the way I don't have any screen recording software (because my computer is crappy) or converter from .dem files, so memo3300 if you want to see it, just read how to watch .dem files or use Google if I wrote something wrong.

~ 1 MB a minuet for 1920 x 1080 with X16 AA and X16 AS
Unlimited Length
Free
little to no effect on performance
Records all game data during the Recording (aka not constrained to perspective of recorder)

Fraps:
Proprietary
Requires Compression
Limited to less than 5 minuets with free version
Resource intensive
~10-50MB a minuet
Generally Sub-par Quality


Clearly Fraps is the better choice.  ::)



As for the Speed Hacker:

He was clearly Speed hacking

Completely against the rules.
