Carp:
I use Ableton Live, its like an extremely expensive program. (pingazd) Which you make the beats, the melody, the bass, basically everything in the track is original material. Ableton Live has effects and shiz as well it's a really good program lol.
I have also tried other programs like reason 4.0 only to use the vocoder and stuff but i know that Ableton has a vocoder built in so I no longer need that program.

How is it in terms of features/accessibility?
I constantly find myself using different programs, and always having to google the different commands to raise pitches, fade off, loop, hop to another track, ect.
I also need to find a better library of samples. All the ones I have are absolute shit ;-;

Well like any other program it takes some getting used to. I dl'd some extra drum samples that worked for me, it also comes with some instruments that i really haven't used yet that will probably come in handy.
